CLH’s Zak Pierce was very excited to attend the City of Raleigh Sir Walter Raleigh Award ceremony and accept a Community Appearance award for the City of Raleigh Abbotts Creek Community Center project! He was very honored to be part of the Clark Nexsen, Barnhill Contracting, and LHC Structural Engineer team. This multi-year project began in 2007 when CLH was hired to design a Post Closure Borrow Site Master Plan that included an EMS station, Community Center, Park, and Elementary School. The site for this project was the borrow site for the North Wake Landfill.
This project also received an AIA North Carolina Design Merit award.

We recently celebrated our 25th anniversary with clients, staff, and family at Clouds Brewing in downtown Raleigh. We all had a wonderful time, honoring our President Christine Hilt who started our firm 25 years ago. Looking forward to many more years of creating livable and sustainable outdoor spaces for all members of the community!
