CLH’s Zak Pierce and other members of the NC Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects were on Capitol Hill in Washington, D.C. for ASLA Advocacy Day! Landscape architects throughout the U.S. are raising the visibility of the profession with legislators and key staff to advocate for policies important to landscape architects. This trip involved meeting with North Carolina representatives to discuss important landscape architecture issues as well as meeting with landscape architects throughout the country. The NC Chapter of ASLA also received an important recognition during this event. They were awarded the Chapter of the Year Advocacy Award. This award was accepted by CLH Principal and NCASLA Chapter President Zak Pierce for achieving excellence in local, state, and federal advocacy.
