CLH provided landscape architecture design and civil engineering services for the development of a master plan for the City of Raleigh River Bend Park. The Neuse River forms the east property boundary with the Neuse River Trail Greenway traversing the site adjacent to the river. The master plan incorporates the use of the river for kayakers and boaters and Neuse River Greenway users. The master plan included designs for a park shelter, park playground, picnic area, comfort station, and park center.
As part of our master planning services, CLH led two public workshops and four Citizen’s Advisory Committee meetings to gain important park input. We also developed a public survey.
We moved into Phase I design services and permitting which included the design and construction for the park entrance, parking, paved trails connecting to the greenway, accessible kayak launch, playground, and comfort station with changing areas.
