Each year, CLH staff members have the opportunity to attend and sponsor several North Carolina conferences. The 2018 NC State College of Design Urban Design Conference held in downtown Raleigh focused on “Urban Disruption and the Equity Challenge”. This important topic looked at how cities across the U.S. are working to address the challenges of growth and development by creating equity for all of their citizens, including for their most vulnerable communities. CLH was proud to be a contributor sponsor and learn from many of the engaging and influential speakers such as Kofi Boone, Associate Professor of Landscape Architecture from the NC State Design, Mitchell Silver of the NYC Department of Parks, and Zena Howard of Perkins + Will Architecture.
Another event we attend and sponsor each year is the NC Chapter of the Association of Learning Environments Annual Conference. This year’s conference is being held in Wrightsville Beach, NC and the topic is Innovate, Collaborate & Rejuvenate. This is an opportunity for us to learn new and exciting trends in educational design as well as interact with many of our peers and partner firms. It’s always a great conference!
