CLH’s Zak Pierce has finished his term as NCASLA President and has now moved into the Past President role. Thanks to Zak’s leadership, the Chapter had a successful year by facilitating many events such as their yearly conference, a golf tournament, and several other events throughout the year. In addition, NCASLA received the ASLA Chapter of the Year Advocacy award! CLH would like to welcome Mike Askins as NCASLA President and Emily Blackwell as President Elect!

CLH attended the groundbreaking ceremony for Apex Friendship Middle School. This new middle school, adjacent to Apex Friendship High School, is the design of Perkins + Will Architects with Barnhill Construction as the general contractor. CLH has provided civil engineering and landscape architecture services for this exciting new Wake County school.

CLH attended the ribbon cutting ceremony for the Always Dreaming Playground at Lead Mine Elementary School in Raleigh, NC. This facility is a unique adaptive playground built specifically for their students with severe disabilities, giving them the freedom of outdoor interactive play.
