On August 1st, CLH attended the grand opening of the Rodgers Family Skate Plaza at Trackside in downtown Apex, NC. This event included several food trucks, a skate contest, free safety gear, and multiple special guests. With an estimated 500 attendees, the event was a great success. CLH served as landscape architect and civil engineer on this innovative and exciting project. Design and construction of the skate plaza elements was conducted by the skate park specialist Team Pain. Monteith Construction was the general contractor.

Alice Reese recently attended the “Certified Playground Safety Inspector Course and Exam”. The CPSI classroom course trains individuals to identify hazards on public playgrounds and playground equipment, how to rank hazards according to injury potential, and how to apply that knowledge and establish a playground safety program.
