CLH staff members Zak Pierce, Christine Hilt, and Saideh Teymouri really enjoyed their time at this year’s ASLA Conference on Landscape Architecture in San Diego, CA. This annual conference offered more than 120 education opportunities, a expo with hundreds of new products, services, technology applications, and design solutions, and an extensive amount of networking opportunities. In addition, CLH President Christine Hilt presented at the conference. Her session was part of the Women in Landscape Architecture PPN Education Session and was titled “What We’re Getting Right: Working Toward Gender Parity in Landscape Architecture”. Chris was part of a four-member panel who discussed how gender equity in the workplace can mean different things to different people. The esteemed panel consisted of small and large firms discussing what they have successfully done to increase gender equity. Overall this adventure to the West Coast provided Zak, Chris and Saideh with a significant amount of learning and networking and proved how vital this conference is to the continued development of their landscape architecture careers.
